A Forgotten Age

It was my mother’s birthday yesterday.
No cakes, no flowers, no celebration, no visit.
For the whole day yesterday, I consciously knew that it was mother’s birthday and was so busy that I only managed to reached home past 11pm.
It got to me that she is only 64….. “Happy Belated Birthday, Mum”
